Go Negosyo’s Women Summit 2025 gathered an inspiring lineup of power women, including First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, Dr. Vicki Belo, Loida Nicolas Lewis, Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Cris Roque, and Angkas founder Angeline Tham. Held on March 15 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City, the event brought together women leaders and entrepreneurs to celebrate Filipina business excellence in honor of Women’s Month.
Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion highlighted the critical role of women entrepreneurs in driving economic growth. “The Philippines has so many opportunities for women entrepreneurs,” he said, citing government data that over half of the country’s MSMEs are women-led. “Our biggest problem is poverty, and when we help women become entrepreneurs, we contribute significantly to the solution.”
Echoing this sentiment, Sec. Roque, a former businesswoman, encouraged the nearly 2,000 women entrepreneurs in attendance. “I have seen the power of women entrepreneurship firsthand,” she said. “Go for it—you could be the next big success story.”
A highlight of the summit was the annual Inspiring Filipina Entrepreneur Awards, recognizing outstanding women who have demonstrated leadership across industries and contributed to economic growth and job creation. The event also honored Dr. Vicki Belo and the late Margarita Fores with the Woman of Legacy Award for their lasting impact on their respective fields.
Beyond the awards, the Women Summit 2025 featured a day of learning sessions and one-on-one mentoring for aspiring and established entrepreneurs. Panel discussions tackled diverse topics, including:
Women Breaking Boundaries – Filipinas who shattered the glass ceiling
Women on TikTok Shop – Thriving in the digital marketplace
Redefining Success as Mompreneurs – Balancing business and family
Women Creating the Tech of Tomorrow – Innovators in the tech industry
Filipina Beauty Beyond Borders – Expanding global influence in beauty and wellness
Now in its 17th year, the Women Summit—formerly the Go Negosyo Filipina Entrepreneurs Summit—has become a vital platform for discussing challenges faced by women-led MSMEs in the Philippines. It continues to empower Filipina entrepreneurs by providing insights, inspiration, and opportunities to grow their businesses.
