YEP Marks 9th Anniversary with Gala Night “Threads of Tomorrow” Featuring Chinkee Tan

The Young Entrepreneurs of Pampanga (YEP) commemorated its ninth anniversary with a landmark gala event titled “Threads of Tomorrow” on June 26, 2025, held at the Clark Marriott Hotel. The event served as a platform for intergenerational dialogue, thought leadership, and recognition of excellence among the province’s emerging business leaders.

Gathering a diverse assembly of next-generation entrepreneurs, industry stakeholders, and mentors, the evening focused on the evolving landscape of family enterprise — highlighting the challenges and opportunities that come with succession, sustainability, and innovation.

Guests arrived in Modern Filipiñana and Barong Tagalog, a symbolic display of the intersection between youthfulness and heritage. This intentional dress code reflected the event’s core message: that tradition and innovation are not mutually exclusive but can coexist meaningfully. The aesthetic paid homage to Kapampangan stylishness, celebrated for its elegance, pride, and cultural depth.

The highlight of the evening was a keynote address by renowned wealth coach and motivational speaker Chinkee Tan, who delivered a powerful message on personal growth and financial empowerment.

“The most powerful thing we can invest in is ourselves,” Tan stated, urging young leaders to prioritize self-leadership, continuous learning, and stewardship as essential pillars of entrepreneurial success.

Recognizing Excellence: YEP 2025 Awards
In line with its commitment to inspire and uplift outstanding entrepreneurs, YEP Pampanga presented two major awards during the event:

Young Entrepreneur of the Year was awarded to Engr. Mawi Gozun of GozSun Smart Technologies, recognized for his pioneering work in solar energy and his advocacy for accessible, efficient, and sustainable solutions in the local energy sector.

Startup of the Year was awarded to Rio Guevarra, founder of Singku Café, which has transformed from a rooftop café concept into a cultural hub — blending coffee, creativity, and Kapampangan identity into a thriving community space.

Threads of Tomorrow was made possible through the support of Zebra Technologies and Hausland Group, with continued contributions from institutional partners such as Filinvest. The event stands as one of the highlights in YEP Pampanga’s annual calendar, reinforcing its role as a convenor of future-ready business leadership in the region.

Sustaining the Momentum
Building on the success of the anniversary gala, YEP is set to launch its next flagship event, “Adulting in Progress” at the BMW Pampanga Premier Cars at the Laus Group Complex on July 30, 2025, featuring media personality Joyce Pring. The program will focus on early-stage personal and professional development — addressing themes such as career growth, starting a family, and achieving life balance as part of the modern entrepreneurial journey.
